Benjamin E. Blekhman is an associate in the Investment Funds Group in the Chicago office of Kirkland & Ellis LLP. He is experienced in matters dealing with Title I of ERISA, including issues involving fiduciary duties, plan asset regulations and prohibited transaction rules. Benjamin is involved with advising private equity, real estate, and other investment vehicles on regulatory considerations to ensure compliance with ERISA regulations.

At Kirkland, Benjamin has assisted on the Ukrainian Temporary Protected Status clinic and hopes to further give back to the community by using his fluency in Russian and Spanish to maximize non-English speaking client interactions and provide the best possible assistance to those most in need of it. In law school, Ben volunteered to work for the Veterans' Legal Service Clinic, where he appeared in court and aided in the representation of several veteran clients in matters such as discharge upgrades and recovering long overdue medical benefits.
