Overview

Alex Brodkin is a partner in the Investment Funds Group in the London office of Kirkland & Ellis International LLP. Alex advises and represents private fund manager European and global clients in relation to all aspects of the structuring, negotiation and operation of private investment funds across a broad range of asset classes and investment strategies (including buyout, credit, life insurance, and infrastructure).

Alex’s clients include Bridgepoint, Carlyle Group, Copenhagen Infrastructure, Lion Capital, Nordic Capital, Preservation Capital Partners, Resolution Life and Tifosy. Alex advises on traditional private equity fund structures as well as long-dated and open-ended arrangements, first time funds, placement agent agreements, separately managed accounts, co-investments, carried interest arrangements, SPAC sponsor arrangements and various ongoing issues in a fund’s lifecycle.
