Sophie Cullens is a corporate associate in the London office of Kirkland & Ellis International LLP.
Sophie’s practice focuses on advising private equity and financial sponsor clients and their portfolio companies on a broad range of corporate matters. Sophie has experience in domestic and cross-border mergers and acquisitions, private equity transactions and general corporate advisory work.

General Atlantic:
on its approximately £800 million recommended takeover of Learning Technologies Group
as leader of a €450 million primary Series F funding round in ICEYE, a Helsinki-based provider of space-based intelligence, valuing the company at approximately €10 billion
as leader of an investor group acquiring a minority stake in Grupo Financiero Banamex from Citi for approximately MXN 43 billion ($2.5 billion)
Apollo on its $1 billion structured equity investment in a joint venture with the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan
TDR Capital and I Squared Capital on matters involving their portfolio company Aggreko
TDR Capital on matters involving its portfolio companies Lyceum Education Group and CorpAcq
I Squared Capital on matters involving its portfolio company CubeCold
KPS Capital Partners on its acquisition of a controlling stake in Novacel from Compagnie Chargeurs Invest
