Micah J. Desaire
Overview
Micah J. Desaire is a corporate healthcare partner in the New York office of Kirkland & Ellis LLP. He regularly represents private equity funds, private and public companies and health systems in complex transactional, healthcare regulatory and data security and privacy matters.
Micah is frequently called upon to advise clients in complex business transactions, including mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, leveraged buyouts, carve-outs, de-SPAC transactions, capital markets offerings, joint ventures, reorganizations, restructurings and other strategic transactions. Micah has experience counseling clients in a variety of sectors, including a wide range of healthcare platforms providing physician, dental, pharmacy, veterinary, aesthetic, radiology and telemedicine services, health information technology, revenue cycle management, licensed home care services, pharmaceuticals, life sciences, diagnostic imaging and long-term acute care.
Micah has diverse experience advising clients on healthcare regulatory matters, including the corporate practice of medicine and professionals, licensure, enrollment, reimbursement and state and federal fraud and abuse laws. He also routinely counsels clients on data security and privacy issues, including data breaches, security incident response, HIPAA compliance and other state and federal laws and regulatory guidelines related to data security and privacy.
