Alexander Egber is an intellectual property litigation associate in the Bay Area office of Kirkland & Ellis LLP. He focuses his practice on patent infringement, trade secret misappropriation and contract disputes involving intellectual property. Alexander’s work encompasses a broad range of industries, including semiconductor manufacturing, integrated circuit programming, web scraping software, telecommunications and lithium-ion batteries.
Prior to joining Kirkland, Alexander was a judicial clerk for the Honorable Janis L. Sammartino of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of California, and prior to law school, he was a nuclear submarine officer with the U.S. Navy. Alexander received his B.A. in applied mathematics with a focus in quantum mechanics from the University of California, Berkeley and his M.E.M. from Old Dominion University. He received his J.D. from the Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law at Arizona State University where he was the Executive Note & Comment Editor for the Arizona State Law Journal and received the Strouse Prize for his contributions to the Center for Law, Science & Innovation.
