Overview

Christian Elliott is a restructuring and special situations partner in the London office of Kirkland & Ellis International LLP.

Christian has broad experience of advising across the spectrum of financing and restructuring work, including restructurings, special situations, leveraged finance, acquisition finance, structured finance, investment grade, derivatives and debt capital markets. His work has spanned a variety of sectors including retail, real estate, construction, insurance, banking, pharmaceuticals and technology.

Since joining Kirkland, Christian has worked on the following representative matters, advising:

  • Accell Group in relation to interim financing and holistic restructuring of its approximately €1.6 billion senior debt
  • Northvolt AB and eight of its affiliates in their Chapter 11 cases
  • Constellation Automotive Group on its c.£4 billion recapitalization
  • Shareholders and creditors to Celsa Group on its refinancing
  • Investors on the potential restructuring of Thames Water

Prior to joining Kirkland, Christian worked on the following representative matters, advising:

  • Interserve on the spin-out and restructuring of Interserve’s construction business, Tilbury Douglas
  • UK Asset Resolution on the sale of Northern Rock and Bradford & Bingley, and various asset sales
  • Novo Nordisk in relation to its $2 billion acquisition facility for the acquisition of Dicerna Pharmaceuticals, Inc.
  • Young’s in relation to its £130 million acquisition of The City Pub Group plc
  • Various banks and insurers on their regulatory junior capital
