Peter Evangelatos is a partner in the New York office of Kirkland & Ellis LLP. Peter has a wide range of experience representing large and small companies and innovators in intellectual property litigation matters before district courts, the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office and U.S. International Trade Commission. Peter primarily focuses his practice on patent litigation, and has also advised clients on matters involving trademark, copyright, trade secret and breach of contract disputes. Peter has also represented clients on a variety of appellate matters, including before the Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit.
Peter is experienced in all phases of litigation and frequently oversees development of technical defenses, advises on discovery strategy, engages in motion practice and conducts depositions. As a registered practitioner before the PTO, Peter also leverages his engineering background to represent patent owners and patent challengers in IPR and EPR proceedings. Peter has also been a part of several trial teams that have taken cases through trial, post-trial matters and appeal. Peter’s patent matters have involved a wide range of technologies, including cellular, Wi-Fi, semiconductor, audio signal processing, medical device, electrical, data center and energy technologies.
