Tim Fairbairn is an associate in Restructuring Group based in the London office of Kirkland & Ellis International LLP.
Tim has experience across the credit spectrum, with a particular record advising debtors, creditors and strategic investors in cross-border and domestic restructurings, refinancings and special situations involving stressed and distressed businesses. Tim also has experience on contentious and advisory insolvency mandates.

Cineworld Group Plc on the UK implementation of its Chapter 11 plan of reorganisation by way of pre-pack administration.
The Non-Standard Finance group on its parallel scheme of arrangement in relation to historical consumer credit redress liabilities and consensual debt-for-equity swap and recapitalisation.
The Abra group on its distressed refinancing and recapitalisation following the Chapter 11 filing of its subsidiary Gol Linhas Aéreas Inteligentes S.A.
A multinational conglomerate on the English aspects of cross-border shareholder winding-up proceedings in respect of an arm’s-length subsidiary group.
Shepherd Building Group on its sale of Portakabin to Antin Infrastructure Partners.
