Overview

John Fraser is a litigation associate in the Dallas office of Kirkland & Ellis LLP. John’s practice focuses on complex commercial disputes in state and federal court, as well as governmental and internal investigations. He has experience representing both plaintiffs and defendants in a variety of complex commercial disputes in a broad range of contract, trade secret, oil and gas, FCA, insurance and securities matters. He likewise has experience representing businesses, directors, managers and officers in response to government-initiated investigations and internal investigations for boards of directors. John has extensive pro bono experience representing individuals in education matters and working with national voting rights groups to ensure individual access to the ballot box.

John earned his law degree from Columbia Law School, where he was the Data & Analytics and Senior Editor of the Columbia Law Review. During law school, John was a Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar. After graduating summa cum laude with his undergraduate degree from the University of Oklahoma, John worked as a high school teacher with Teach For America in New York City where he received his master’s in education with a focus on special education prior to attending law school.
