Justin Gardner is a partner in the London Office of Kirkland & Ellis International LLP. Justin has extensive private fund formation and investment management experience, including advising fund sponsors in a variety of asset classes on the establishment of their fund vehicles and through the full fundraising process. He has also advised on upper-tier carried interest and private fund management structuring, joint venture arrangements between private fund sponsors, co-investment transactions, secondary deals and on fund reviews from the fund investor perspective.
Justin’s experience in Hong Kong included advising on many of the largest private equity fundraisings in the Asia-Pacific region during that period. Clients advised include: Hony Capital, The Carlyle Group, Navis Capital Partners, the HSBC HK Private Equity Group (now Headland Capital), HarbourVest, Kedaara Capital, AIF Capital, Baring India, Prudential, and Themes Investment Partners (now Ally Bridge Group), amongst others.
Justin is responsible for establishing and maintaining the Knowledge and Learning Platform for the Investment Funds Group in London.
