Rob Garner is a corporate partner in the Houston office of Kirkland & Ellis LLP. Rob’s practice is focused on construction law. Rob has negotiated and drafted a wide variety of construction related agreements, including engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) agreements, complex engineered equipment supply agreements, engineering agreements, EPCM agreements, long term services agreements, operations and maintenance agreements, general construction agreements and process licensor agreements. Rob has extensive experience advising clients in the development of their large scale energy and infrastructure projects located in the United States and abroad, including liquefied natural gas (LNG) export facilities, LNG regassification facilities, power generation facilities (including wind and solar renewable energy and natural gas power), renewable diesel facilities, pipeline facilities, paper and packaging facilities, cement manufacturing facilities, offshore infrastructure facilities (including subsea pipeline infrastructure) and numerous commercial developments (including office and apartment buildings), all ranging from $20 million to over $20 billion in value.
In addition to being a lawyer, Rob is also a licensed professional engineer who formerly designed highway projects in the United States. Rob also served in the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers as a combat engineer officer forward deployed in Germany and Kosovo.
