Overview

Evan Gascoine is of counsel for the Litigation Practice Group in the Philadelphia office of Kirkland & Ellis LLP. Evan has extensive experience representing industry leading clients in the manufacturing sector. Evan focuses primarily on complex, multi-party disputes, including mass torts and class actions.

Evan is part of the National Coordinating Counsel team for multiple manufacturers in asbestos and talc litigation and shares responsibility in developing and coordinating trial defense strategy on a daily basis. He collaborates with local, regional and national counsel throughout the country to develop strategic decisions in all phases of litigation.

Evan also served an extended secondment with The Dow Chemical Company as a Case Manager in Dow’s Asbestos, Products Liability & Insurance Litigation Group. He managed asbestos, products liability, and premises litigation dockets for Union Carbide and Dow throughout the United States. Evan oversaw thousands of ongoing cases and advised the litigation management team on case evaluation and business strategies. He also directed outside counsel, attended trials, mediation, and settlement conferences, and negotiating settlement packages for the client. His work as an in-house attorney has provided him with special insight into the needs of his clients and their practical concerns.
