Susan D. Golden is a restructuring partner in the New York office of Kirkland & Ellis LLP. Susan brings to Kirkland her years of experience as a trial attorney with the Office of the United States Trustee in the Southern District of New York, a division of the United States Department of Justice. During her tenure with the U.S. Trustee Program, she was lead counsel in some of the largest cases filed in the Southern District of New York, including Lehman Brothers Holdings Inc., AMR Corporation, LightSquared, Inc., The Great Atlantic & Pacific Tea Co., Grubb & Ellis Company, Eastman Kodak Company, Binder & Binder, LLC, Chassix Holdings, Inc., Breitburn Energy Partners, LP and China Fishery Group. Prior to joining the U.S. Trustee Program, Susan was a career law clerk to the Honorable Prudence Carter Beatty, United States Bankruptcy Judge for the Southern District of New York.

Susan is also responsible for knowledge management, training and professional support for the Restructuring Department in both the New York and Chicago offices.
