Overview

Joseph W. Gonyeau is a corporate associate in the New York office of Kirkland & Ellis LLP and a member of the Firm's Investment Funds Practice Group. Joseph focuses his practice on advising private investment fund sponsors in the structuring, formation and operation of private equity funds, management companies and other related entities. He also advises fund sponsors on other legal and regulatory matters related to private investment funds. 

Joseph also has experience representing a diverse set of asset managers and institutional investors in connection with their investments in private funds, including private equity funds, real estate funds, credit funds, venture capital funds, business development companies and hedge funds. He regularly advises his clients on market terms and guides them through all stages of the investment process.
