Chris Gray is an IP litigation associate in the Austin office of Kirkland & Ellis LLP. Chris focuses on patent, trade secret and copyright litigation. With a background in physics, he has handled technologies including computer networking, computer hardware and software, and electrical and mechanical devices.
Chris’s pro bono practice focuses on representing individuals seeking post-conviction relief from death penalty sentences on direct appeal. Chris also represents veterans seeking increased access to benefits.
In law school, Chris served as an articles editor on the Baylor Law Review and was the highest ranked graduating student in his graduating class. During his time at Baylor Law, Chris was also awarded the 2024 David & Zandra Swenson Endowed Intellectual Property Award and the 2025 Outstanding Achievement in Business Litigation Award.
