Overview

Alyssa Hartley is an antitrust and competition associate in the Boston office of Kirkland & Ellis LLP. Her practice focuses on helping clients navigate complex antitrust issues in high-stakes transactions, government investigations and litigation.

Alyssa advises clients on the antitrust aspects of mergers and acquisitions, including matters before the Antitrust Division of the U.S. Department of Justice, the U.S. Federal Trade Commission, state attorneys general and other competition authorities. She works with deal teams and clients to assess antitrust risk, develop regulatory strategy, respond to agency inquiries and advocate for efficient paths to clearance.

Alyssa also represents clients in civil antitrust investigations and complex litigation involving competition issues across a range of industries. She has experience with factual development, legal analysis, advocacy materials, document review, witness preparation and strategic case development. Her work reflects a practical and detail-oriented approach, with a focus on understanding clients’ business objectives and delivering clear, responsive and commercially useful advice.

Alyssa has a particular interest in the intersection of antitrust, technology and artificial intelligence, including how emerging tools can be used responsibly to improve legal analysis, issue identification and work product. She brings intellectual curiosity, sound judgment and a collaborative approach to her work with clients and case teams.
