Fahira Hasic

Prior to joining Kirkland, Fahira was involved in the following matters:

• Represented Vandemoortele in connection with its acquisition of Bunge’s margarines and spreads business.
• Represented Synopsys in connection with its $35 billion acquisition of Ansys.
• Represented Illumina before the General Court of the European Union in its appeal against the €432 million fine imposed by the European Commission for an alleged violation of the standstill obligation, the largest fine of its kind ever imposed by the Commission.
• Represented Ajinomoto in relation to anti-dumping duties on monosodium glutamate (MSG) in the European Union.
• Represented CSL Vifor in connection with a European Commission investigation into alleged abuse of dominance in the iron deficiency products sector.
• Represented Philip Morris in connection with investigations by the Belgian Competition Authority and the Dutch Authority for Consumers and Markets concerning the alleged exchange of confidential pricing information.
