Overview

Mary-Kathryn Hawes is an intellectual property litigation associate in the Washington, D.C., office of Kirkland & Ellis LLP, focusing on patent infringement litigation and other intellectual property matters before the U.S. Federal Courts, the Patent Trial and Appeal Board, and the International Trade Commission. Mary-Kathryn has served an integral role on patent infringement cases in district court, including drafting dispositive and discovery motions, coordinating discovery, working with experts, and preparing for and assisting in depositions. Mary-Kathryn has also played a key role in inter partes review cases before the U.S. Patent Trial and Appeal Board.

Mary-Kathryn maintains an active pro bono practice, including matters involving asylum and litigation before federal district courts.
