Peter Hyams is a corporate partner in the Houston office of Kirkland & Ellis LLP. Peter’s practice focuses on representing private equity sponsors and their portfolio companies and he has experience advising on strategic transactions in the US and the UK, including domestic and cross-border mergers and acquisitions, group reorganisations, joint ventures and general corporate advisory matters

Representative Matters
Since joining Kirkland, Peter has advised on the following matters:
- ONEOK, Inc. (NYSE: OKE) in its $2.6 billion acquisition of Global Infrastructure Partners’ equity interests in Medallion Midstream, LLC.
- Allied Industrial Partners in its strategic investment in Celebrity Coaches, a provider of transportation and logistics for the live events and entertainment sector.
- Guardian Capital Group (TSX: GCG; GCG.A) in connection with Guardian Smart Infrastructure Management’s acquisition of a controlling interest in Q-Free ASA, a provider of intelligent transportation systems.
- A private company in the issuance of over $100 million of asset-backed securities secured by operated producing oil and gas wells.
- Iconic Sports in its investment in London-based group Eagle Football, which acquired a significant controlling stake in Olympique Lyonnais Groupe SA.
- Arroyo Investors in its sale of ARCO, one of the largest independent renewable power producers in Chile, to Sonnedix, a global renewable energy independent power producer.
- Thoma Bravo on the £3.1 billion recommended cash offer for Sophos, a global leader in next-generation cybersecurity solutions.
- Thoma Bravo-backed IDS on the acquisition of and combination with White Clarke Group, a provider of finance software solutions to banks, captives and independent finance organizations globally.
- Thoma Bravo on its $594 million acquisition of Majesco, a provider of cloud insurance software solutions.
- BC Partners on the c. €1.6 billion sale of European pharmaceutical company Pharmathen to Partners Group.
- A sovereign wealth fund on the acquisition of a pan-European logistics portfolio for over €3 billion from EQT Exeter.
- Antin Infrastructure Partners on its reinvestment in Eurofiber, including the sale of a minority stake to PGGM.
- HGGC on the sale of a majority stake in Davies, a leading specialist professional services and technology business serving the global insurance market.
- Davies Group, a portfolio company of HGGC, on the acquisition of Keoghs, a legal services firm for the insurance sector.
- Blackstone on its acquisition of the business and assets of Murka, a developer and promoter of social casino gaming applications for mobile devices and social media, based in Cyprus and Ukraine.
- CapVest and Core Assets on their acquisition of Partnerships in Children’s Services, one of the largest independent fostering agencies in the UK.
