Overview

Ian Jelsma is a partner in the Investment Funds Practice Group, working out of the Houston office. He represents U.S. and non-U.S. fund sponsors on private fund formations, raising billions in committed capital across a wide variety of strategies, including leveraged buyout, growth equity, infrastructure, energy and credit. Ian also advises private fund sponsors and their principals in connection with a broad range of other matters, including co-investments, structuring considerations, continuation fund transactions, conflict resolution, succession planning, key person events and internal sponsor operations. Ian has extensive experience working with smaller sponsors, including middle-market strategies and first-time funds, as well as larger multi-strategy sponsors.
