Partha Kar is a partner in the London office of the Firm's restructuring practice group. Partha has a wide range of cross-border restructuring and insolvency experience. He has acted for financial creditors (including non-bank funds), turnaround advisors, companies (debtors and creditors) and insolvency practitioners/appointees in multi-jurisdictional restructurings and all classes of insolvency proceedings; directors, shareholders and creditors of companies that are financially impaired or subject to solvent reorganization; and for vendors and purchasers of distressed debt or equity.
Partha has worked on all stages of this work including contingency planning and strategy, negotiations, documentation, post-restructuring/appointment and the exit.
Partha has been recognized in the Legal 500 and Chambers & Partners as a leading restructuring and insolvency lawyer and was listed as one of the "Hot 100" lawyers in Europe for 2011 in The Lawyer publication along with fellow restructuring partner Kon Asimacopoulos.
