Overview

Brandon Karas is an associate in the Complex Securitizations Practice Group in the Dallas office of Kirkland & Ellis LLP. He advises sponsors, issuers and borrowers on complex securitization and structured finance transactions across a wide range of asset classes and industries.

Brandon focuses on securitizations involving esoteric collateral, distressed and special situation credits and bespoke structural features. His experience includes trade and other receivables financings, as well as the structuring of bankruptcy-remote vehicles and related true sale and insolvency analyses. He also advises on sponsor-driven and opportunistic transactions, including liability management and other strategic financings.

Before joining Kirkland, Brandon was an associate general counsel of corporate finance at Sunnova Energy International Inc. Prior to Sunnova, Brandon was a senior counsel at Stonebriar Commercial Finance LLC (n/k/a Eldridge Capital Management).
