Robert Kimmitt, Jr. is a partner in the Washington, D.C., office of Kirkland & Ellis LLP. Robert’s practice focuses on complex litigation and government investigations.
Before joining Kirkland, Robert served as a law clerk for the Federal Capital Habeas Project in the Federal Defender’s Office for the District of Maryland, Southern Division, in Greenbelt. He spent the next year working special projects with multiple firms, including shareholder litigation, DOJ and FTC second request, and SEC civil action. He earned his law degree from Georgetown University and his undergraduate degree in government from Dartmouth College.
