Overview

Kevin Lam is a partner in the Investment Funds Group of Kirkland & Ellis LLP and focuses his practice on the formation, structuring, marketing, management and regulatory compliance of private equity and similar funds, as well as the operational, legal and regulatory issues faced by their sponsors. Kevin routinely counsels sponsors on fund-specific and firm-wide strategic and operational matters, including co-investment transactions, SPV formations, warehouse arrangements, “upper-tier” governance, internal restructurings and succession planning. In addition to representing well-established sponsors in prominent global fundraisings, Kevin has significant experience in working with early stage sponsors in all aspects of establishing their operations and raising capital. Kevin has formed funds ranging in size from under $100 million to over $15 billion.

Kevin’s representative clients include Arkview Capital, Blue Owl, Orangewood Partners, Recognize Partners, Sentinel Capital, Spring Bridge Partners, Trivest Partners, Vector Capital and Warburg Pincus.
