Declan Larkin

Prior to joining Kirkland, Declan was involved in the following matters:

• Advised a leading global investment firm, as part of a consortium, on the acquisition of a major international private education platform in a transaction valued at approximately $14.5 billion.
• Advised funds affiliated with a major Asia-focused private equity firm on the acquisition of a controlling beneficial interest in a global provider of healthcare outsourcing solutions from a leading Indian private equity firm.
• Advised a major US-listed asset management firm on its strategic minority investment in one of the world’s largest dedicated private market secondaries managers.
• Advised the venture capital arm of a major global pharmaceutical company on its participation in a US$220 million oversubscribed Series D funding round for a clinical-stage oncology company.
• Advised a leading global private markets investment manager on its participation in a US$170 million Series C funding round for a high-growth financial data and analytics platform.
• Advised a major UK telecommunications joint venture and its parent companies on the creation of a new B2B company combining the JV’s and a leading UK IT services group’s direct B2B operations, creating a communications and IT powerhouse for UK businesses with pro forma annual revenues of approximately £1.4 billion. (Undertaken whilst on secondment to a major global telecommunications and technology company.)
• Advised a Dutch telecommunications joint venture and one of its parent companies on the sale of the JV’s mobile tower portfolio for a consideration of approximately €669 million to a consortium of infrastructure investors. (Undertaken whilst on secondment to a major global telecommunications and technology company.)
• Advised a US-listed semiconductor company on its strategic capital injection into a London-listed compound semiconductor manufacturer, securing supply chain for AI and data-centre markets.
