Victor Levy is a partner in the New York office of Kirkland & Ellis LLP. His practice focuses on the formation and ongoing representation of private funds.

Victor has extensive experience structuring and launching private credit funds (closed-end & evergreen) deploying strategies across the credit spectrum (including direct lending (senior & junior/mezzanine), distressed debt, non-performing & performing traded debt, real estate credit, high yield, special situations, structured credit, etc.), as well as real estate and infrastructure funds and related matters. He has extensive experience with numerous complex credit fund structures (treaty, levered blockers, seasoning variants & other bespoke structures (e.g., participating notes resembling equity, series LLCs & LPs, etc.)), as well as amicably negotiating with investors (side letters, revenue share & seed arrangements, managed accounts, funds of one, etc.). In addition, he has extensive experience representing select anchor-sized institutional investors investing in private funds across all strategies.

Victor also has a strong understanding of LP sensitivities and a deep understanding of the Advisers Act. He has experience advising sponsors structuring internal compensation arrangements. He represents large, established managers sponsoring new funds, as well as high-quality emerging managers sponsoring first-time funds, to invest in US and non-US markets.
