Bobby Li is a litigation associate in the Intellectual Property Practice Group in the Los Angeles office of Kirkland & Ellis LLP. His practice includes a wide range of intellectual property matters including patent, copyright and trademark issues spanning a variety of industries and technologies, including telecommunications, banking, cybersecurity, music, video games and fashion design. His experience covers a wide breadth of technologies including object/text recognition software, mobile payment processing, telecommunications software, automobile engine control computers, video game networking infrastructure and peer-to-peer file sharing protocols.
Bobby has experience in matters in Federal District Courts, State Courts and before the Patent Trial and Appeal Board (PTAB). His experience includes jury trials, conducting direct examination and cross examination of expert witnesses, taking and defending depositions, and drafting and arguing substantive motions. He has represented pro bono clients in matters including record expungement for incarcerated firefighters in California, immigration asylum applications, and counseling charity organizations on regulatory compliance.
