Overview

Brittany Litzinger is a litigation partner in the Los Angeles office of Kirkland & Ellis LLP. Brittany defends industry-leading pharmaceutical, medical device, technology and consumer product companies in high stakes mass tort and product liability litigation. She has extensive experience litigating product liability cases, including multidistrict litigation and consolidated state court proceedings, from initial filing through trial and resolution, having served as a member of many trial teams.

Prior to joining Kirkland, in 2024, Brittany served on a trial team that secured a full defense verdict for Johnson & Johnson in a talcum powder litigation case where plaintiff alleged Johnson’s Baby Powder caused the plaintiff’s ovarian cancer (Matthey et al v. Johnson & Johnson et al., Case No. 2018CA004809 (Sarasota Cnty., 2024)). The Matthey defense verdict was ranked among the most impressive defense verdicts of 2024 by CVN and was designated the “Impact Case of the Year” by LMG Life Sciences. Brittany also served on a trial team that secured an $11.8 million arbitration verdict for Netflix in a breach of contract dispute involving the science-fiction television series, Conquest.

In addition to her active trial practice, Brittany also has extensive experience serving as coordinating and strategic counsel for a wide variety of Fortune 500 companies in connection with large dockets of cases at both the federal and state levels.
