• Stronghold Energy, a portfolio company of Warburg Pincus LLC, in the $465 million sale of its Permian Basin assets to Ring Energy, Inc. (NYSE: REI)
• Transom Capital Group in its acquisition of Wolters Kluwer’s Legal & Regulatory U.S. Legal Education business
• Vista Equity Partners in its strategic growth investment in Critical Start, a leading provider of managed detection and response (MDR) cybersecurity solutions
• Wheels in its combination with Donlen, with Athene the lead investor in the $5 billion combined assets
• Warburg Pincus in its investment in NetDocuments, the leading secure cloud-based content services and productivity platform for law firms

Prior to joining Kirkland, Kurt’s representative matters included:

• Colony Capital, Inc. in its $5.9 billion sale of Colony Industrial, the industrial real estate assets and affiliated industrial operating platform of Colony Capital, to Blackstone
• Insight Partners and its portfolio company, Workforce Software, in securing a significant equity investment from Evergreen Coast Capital
• Insight Partners and its portfolio company, Kaseya Software, in securing a significant equity investment from TPG Capital
• Insight Venture Partners in its acquisition of a majority stake in leading channel data management company Zyme, in a transaction valued at over $100 million
• Insight Partners in various minority investments in the technology industry
• Kaseya Software, a portfolio company of Insight Partners, in connection with numerous strategic acquisitions over a three-year period
• New Mountain Capital in its acquisition of DRB Systems, a large car wash software solutions provider, from another large sponsor
• New Mountain Capital in its acquisition of Sparta Systems, Inc., a premier provider of quality management software
• Voalte, a pioneer and leader in real-time, mobile healthcare communications, in its sale to global medical technology company Hill-Rom for $180 million
• Victory Capital Holdings, Inc. in its acquisition of Harvest Volatility Management
• Dyal Capital Partners in its acquisition of a minority equity stake in Graticule Asset Management, a global alternative asset manager, from Fortress Investment
• Warburg Pincus and A Place for Mom in the sale of A Place for Mom to Silver Lake and General Atlantic
• Zurich Insurance in its acquisition of several travel assistance providers operating under the Travel Ace and Universal Assistance brand in Latin America
• Aspen Insurance in its $2.6 billion sale to certain investment funds affiliated with Apollo Global Management
