Kate McDermott is a financial services regulatory associate in the London office of Kirkland & Ellis International LLP.
Kate has experience advising alternative investment funds, fund managers and financial institutions across a variety of regulatory matters focusing on UK and EU financial regulation including AIFMD, MiFID II, MAR, UK FSMA, SFDR and EMIR.

Advising asset managers on the impact of Brexit on their operations in the UK and EU.
Advising on the regulatory aspects of M&A transactions involving financial services, including assisting with the preparation of change in control applications.
