Callum McKinnon is an associate based in the London office of Kirkland & Ellis International LLP.
Callum advises on domestic and international financial transactions, with a focus on the asset management sector and advising on the formation of, and investment in, a wide variety of international private funds.
Callum also has experience in advising fund managers in relation to the tax aspects of their remuneration packages.

Formation of a €1.25bn+ European-focused credit fund;
Formation of a €1bn+ European-focused private equity fund;
Formation of several £500m+ emerging markets focused funds; and
Formation of several €100m - €300m European-focused real estate debt funds.
Limited Partner Representation
Advising various institutional investors on secondary sales and acquisitions of fund portfolios.
Advising various institutional investors, including sovereign wealth funds and funds of funds, on primary and secondary investments in European, North American, Asian and emerging markets focused private equity funds.
Advising a UK asset manager on the establishment of an investment holding platform.

Advising a European asset manager on its UK and international carried interest and co-invest structures.
