Overview

Alisa Melekhina is a litigation partner in the New York office of Kirkland & Ellis LLP. She is highly experienced in leading large eDiscovery teams during complex and cross-border litigation and financial regulatory investigations, working across legal, tech and client teams. Alisa focuses on devising a comprehensive strategy enabling teams to conduct discovery in a defensible and efficient manner, while prioritizing essential fact development. Alisa frequently advises on best practices throughout the lifecycle of complex eDiscovery, from scoping collections, Technology Assisted Reviews, privilege determinations, and time-sensitive and cross-border document productions.

Outside of her legal career, Alisa is a nationally ranked competitive tournament chess player. She is an internationally-ranked chess master and world team championship gold medalist, and co-founder of the NYC Corporate Chess League. Alisa is a frequent public speaker and lecturer on eDiscovery, AI and chess topics.
