Joseph Mensah is a strategy & operations partner for the M&A and Private Equity Practice Group in the Bay Area and Los Angeles offices of Kirkland & Ellis LLP. He holds broad responsibility for delivery of the platform’s strategic insights, substantive client outreach, training, staffing strategy, utilization and performance management. His time is dedicated to program-based initiatives that highlight the Firm’s commitment to innovation, retention and building a best-in-class workplace.
Prior to joining Kirkland, Joseph served as the Director of Dean’s Initiatives (Chief of Staff) at Yale Law School. He also held attorney development roles and practiced M&A and general corporate law at leading international firms. A former Teach for America corps member and adjunct professor, Joseph remains deeply committed to advancing educational equity. He currently serves on the Board of Managers for the Law Alumni Society at the University of Pennsylvania Carey Law School.
