Alex Meyer is a corporate associate in the Insurance Transactions & Regulatory and Financial Institutions Practice Groups in the Chicago office of Kirkland & Ellis LLP. His practice focuses on a broad range of corporate, securities, transactional and regulatory matters involving the insurance, reinsurance and financial services industries. Alex regularly represents public and private corporate clients, insurance companies, private equity sponsors, asset managers and other industry participants in connection with mergers and acquisitions, the acquisition and divestiture of insurance businesses through reinsurance and other alternative transaction structures, and the formation, capitalization and financing of insurance and reinsurance companies and related ventures, including sidecars and other alternative capital vehicles.
