Shane D. O’Connor is a litigation associate in the Dallas office of Kirkland & Ellis LLP. Shane’s practice primarily focuses on high-stakes litigation challenging local, state and federal laws at all levels of federal and state courts.

Prior to joining Kirkland, Shane was involved in the following matters:

  • Represented an association of social media companies challenging social media censorship laws at all levels of federal courts.
  • Represented a Fortune 10 company in its challenge to a state's alcoholic beverage laws. 
  • Filed an amicus brief at the U.S. Supreme Court on behalf of a state district attorney's office seeking to defend a challenge to the state's criminal jurisdiction.
