Garry J. Padrta is a partner in Kirkland’s M&A/Private Equity Practice Group in the Los Angeles office of Kirkland & Ellis LLP. Garry routinely represents private equity sponsors, their portfolio companies and other public and privately held businesses in a variety of industries, including consumer products, apparel, media production, healthcare, light manufacturing and food and beverage.
His practice focuses on mergers and acquisitions and other complex corporate transactions, including leveraged buyouts, equity financings, joint ventures, add-on acquisitions, carve-outs and other divestitures. He also advises on continuation vehicle transactions, equity syndications, minority co-investments and other secondaries transactions, as well as restructurings and corporate reorganizations, including in connection with liability management exercises and other private credit transactions.
Transactions on which Garry acted as lead counsel have been featured in various media outlets, including the Los Angeles Business Journal and the Hollywood Reporter.
