Jenny Patroclou is an antitrust and competition associate in the London office of Kirkland & Ellis International LLP. Jenny advises on all aspects of EU and UK competition law, across a broad range of industries. Prior to joining private practice, Jenny worked at the UK Competition and Markets Authority’s (CMA) legal service and mergers directorates, where she was involved in phase 1 and phase 2 merger inquiries, as well as the CMA’s mergers intelligence function.

Microsoft on its ~$70 billion acquisition of Activision Blizzard, Inc, before the European Commission and CMA.
Microsoft on its $10 billion investment in OpenAI.
A third party on the Vodafone/CK Hutchison JV CMA phase 2 merger inquiry.
Advent International and NielsenIQ before the European Commission on NielsenIQ’s combination with GfK, winning a rare conditional phase 1 approval.
Brookfield, on several transactions, including:
its strategic partnership with Castlelake before several authorities.
on the sale of a 49% interest in Westinghouse Electric Company to Cameco Corporation before several authorities including phase 1 merger inquiries before the European Commission and the CMA.
Lone Star Funds on the acquisition of the XSYS division from the Flint Group, including the phase 1 CMA merger inquiry.
Scandinavian Airlines on EU antitrust aspects of Air France-KLM Group’s investment in SAS.
Jenny’s experience at the CMA included:
Phase 1 investigation of the acquisition by Hitachi Rail Ltd of Thales SA’s Ground Transportation Systems Business.
Phase 2 investigation of the anticipated acquisition by Cellnex UK of the passive infrastructure assets of CK Hutchison’s Networks Europe Investments SARL.
Phase 2 investigation of the completed acquisition by CHC Group of Babcock’s oil and gas offshore helicopter services business.
