Overview

Matt Petrosino is a corporate partner in Kirkland’s Washington, D.C., office. Matt helps private equity clients, portfolio companies, developers and owners build, protect and maximize the value of complex infrastructure assets. From development and construction through operations, maintenance and dispute strategy, he serves as a strategic partner at every stage of the asset lifecycle. His experience spans data centers, energy (conventional and renewable), oil and gas, industrial, petrochemical and commercial infrastructure — and he leads negotiations across the full suite of asset-level agreements, including EPC, construction management, professional services, procurement and supply chain, master service agreements, subcontracts and intracompany agreements.

Matt’s experience as assistant general counsel at leading private equity-backed renewable IPPs gives him a unique perspective on how legal strategy intersects with financing, commercial and operational priorities. That perspective, refined over more than a decade and billions of dollars in capital projects, is why the C-suite, project teams, investors and in-house counsel trust him to translate risk into clear, practical decisions.
