Overview

Robert Phillips is an investment funds partner based in the London office of Kirkland & Ellis International LLP.

Robert advises and represents sponsors in relation to the structuring, formation and operation of private investment funds across a broad range of investment strategies, including on a variety of commingled and fund-like structures, such as funds-of-one, separate managed accounts, co-investments and GP revenue share arrangements.

Prior to joining Kirkland, Robert worked on the following matters:

  • A Japanese affiliated sponsor on its venture capital and private equity strategies.
  • A London-headquartered sponsor on its infrastructure and credit products.
  • A London-headquartered sponsor on its opportunistic real estate strategy.
  • A large Australian investment bank on its credit strategy.
  • Various Canadian pension plans on their primaries, co-investments and separate managed accounts.
  • Various sovereign investors on their cross-strategy investment programmes, including GP revenue share arrangements.
