Overview

Max Reibman is an associate in the Investment Funds Practice Group in the New York office of Kirkland & Ellis LLP. Max's practice focuses primarily on the formation, structuring and operation of private equity and real estate funds, their management companies and co-investment programs. Max also has significant experience in GP stakes, preferred equity investments and other mergers and acquisitions involving public and private investment management firms, broker-dealers and related businesses.

From 2014 to 2017, Max worked in Dubai and Washington, D.C., for a leading multinational risk consultancy, where he advised clients on market access and regulatory risks in the Middle East and other emerging markets. While a doctoral candidate at the University of Cambridge, Max lived and worked in Cairo where he successfully negotiated a special permit from the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs to conduct research at the Egyptian National Archives (the “Dar al-Watha’iq”). He holds a law degree from the Georgetown University Law Center, a Ph.D. from the University of Cambridge, where he was a Gates Cambridge Scholar, an MPhil from Cambridge and a bachelor's degree from the University of Pennsylvania.
