Overview

Chad Richards is an energy regulatory associate in the Washington, D.C., office of Kirkland & Ellis LLP. Chad’s practice focuses on the representation of energy and financial industry clients in a variety of energy regulatory and transactional matters in the energy sector. He frequently counsels clients on Department of Energy (DOE) and Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) compliance, approvals, and related energy regulatory implications in connection with acquisitions and divestitures, financings, joint ventures, restructurings, and other commercial transactions involving U.S. energy assets, including gas, solar, hydro, oil, on and offshore wind, transmission, liquefied natural gas (LNG), and storage.
