Nafees Saeed is a partner in the Antitrust & Competition Practice Group in the London office of Kirkland & Ellis International LLP, advising on all aspects of EU and UK competition law. Nafees regularly counsels multinational corporations and private capital clients on complex merger control and foreign investment reviews across the globe.
Nafees has particular experience advising on strategic acquisitions, transformative private equity transactions, carve-outs, take-privates, consortium investments and complex cross-border mergers. His experience spans a broad range of sectors, including technology and digital markets, software, healthcare and pharmaceuticals, financial services, media and telecommunications, defence, industrials and manufacturing, chemicals, consumer products, aviation, energy, business services and sports.
Nafees completed an extended secondment to the UK Competition and Markets Authority, where he served as a director in the Mergers Division. In that role, he led a number of significant Phase I and Phase II merger investigations.
Nafees has been featured in Lawdragon’s “Leading Global Antitrust & Competition Lawyers” list and is a recognised practitioner in The Legal 500.
