Overview

Olivia Seraphim is a corporate healthcare partner in the Washington, D.C., office of Kirkland & Ellis, LLP, with a practice focused on healthcare and life sciences regulatory and transactional matters. Olivia advises a broad range of clients, including healthcare providers and life sciences companies, as well as private equity sponsors and strategic investors in the healthcare sector.

Olivia counsels clients on federal and state healthcare and life sciences regulatory issues, including licensure and scope of practice laws, the corporate practice of medicine, HIPAA patient privacy and other regulatory compliance matters. Olivia also advises on fraud and abuse matters, including compliance with the federal Anti-Kickback Statute and the Stark Law.

Olivia is frequently engaged to advise on complex corporate transactions involving regulatory diligence and structuring, particularly in transactions involving dental or physician management services organizations, pharmacies (including specialty and mail-order), pharmaceutical and device manufacturers, biotech and cosmetics companies, health IT companies and other entities in the health and life sciences ecosystem.
