Overview

Shainee Shah is a litigation partner in the Houston office of Kirkland & Ellis LLP. Shainee’s practice focuses on complex commercial litigation. She has extensive experience representing clients in a variety of industries across a broad array of subject matters, including contract disputes, class actions, restructuring matters, securities and product liability. Shainee advises clients on all aspect of litigation in both state and federal courts. She also maintains an active pro bono practice.

Representing AbbVie in False Claims Act case and related securities case regarding client’s patient support services in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois.

Representing Gulfport Energy Corporation and its wholly-owned subsidiaries in various litigations related to rejection of midstream contracts in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of Texas.

Represented a health insurer in a putative class action alleging ERISA and RICO violations regarding the insurer’s payment practices.

Represented a biopharmaceutical company in a securities class action arising from alleged misstatements, which led the company’s stock prices to drop.

Represented a private equity firm in an accounting arbitration stemming from a dispute over the the final purchase price of a company.
