Emily Sheffield is an associate in the New York office of Kirkland & Ellis LLP. Emily practices intellectual property litigation with a focus on patent infringement and trade secret litigation in U.S. Federal Courts and the United States Patent and Trademark Office.
Emily’s background in mechanical engineering helps her to quickly understand clients’ technology to develop creative legal solutions and arguments while working closely with technical witnesses in patent, trade secret, copyright and false advertising cases. Emily has represented clients in a wide range of technologies, including medical devices, pharmaceuticals, robot technology, AI technology, sportswear and footwear.
