Overview

Labdhi Sheth Desai is a litigation associate in the Bay Area office of Kirkland & Ellis LLP. Her practice focuses on complex commercial and intellectual property litigation, and her experience includes trial practice, taking and defending depositions, arguing key motions and managing high-stakes discovery. Labdhi served as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable Otis D. Wright II in the United States District Court for the Central District of California, and she was recognized in Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch® in America for Commercial Litigation and Intellectual Property Litigation from 2024–2026.

Labdhi has represented both plaintiffs and defendants in complex disputes across federal district courts, state courts and state government enforcement bodies, including a secondment with the Office of the Attorney General of Massachusetts where she second-chaired a three-week trial.

Labdhi’s experience covers a wide range of industries and technologies, including life sciences, pharmaceutical distribution, healthcare systems, retail pharmacy networks and complex commercial software. She maintains an active pro bono practice and has been recognized on the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court’s Pro Bono High Honor Roll.

Labdhi is an active member of the South Asian Bar Association of North America and serves on the board for Ms. JD as well as ChIPs Boston. Before practicing law, she earned her degree in Public Health from the University of California, Berkeley.
