Overview

Danielle Sim is an investment funds associate in the London office of Kirkland & Ellis International LLP. Danielle represents sponsors and institutional investors with respect to structuring, formation, fundraising and operation of private investment funds, with a focus on private equity, real assets and secondaries. Danielle also has experience in secondary transactions, co-investment arrangements and joint ventures.

She has previously worked as an investment funds associate in Singapore.

Since joining Kirkland in 2025, Danielle has worked on the following representative matters:

  • GLP Capital Partners on the US$3.7 billion sale of GCP International to Ares.
  • PAI Partners on the €3.6 billion equity transaction to reinvest into Froneri.
  • A European manager on the formation and fundraise of its secondaries fund.
  • Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners on a co-investment fund.
  • Nordic Capital on its secondary transfers.

Prior to joining Kirkland, Danielle worked on the following representative matters:

  • A global sponsor on structuring, establishment and fundraising for its data centre-focused fund.
  • A global secondaries investor as sole lead investor for its investment into a single-asset continuation vehicle.
  • A Nordic-based sponsor on fundraising for its private equity fund.
  • A Europe-based sponsor on establishment and fundraising for its credit fund.
  • A global sponsor on fundraising for its Asia-focused fund.
  • A global investment platform on its co-investment into one of India’s largest private equity funds.
  • A sovereign wealth fund for its anchor investment into a real estate fund.
