Overview

Mike Singer is an antitrust and competition partner in the New York office of Kirkland & Ellis LLP. His practice focuses on advising clients in connection with the antitrust aspects of mergers and acquisitions, as well as government investigations, litigation and antitrust counseling. He has represented clients across a diverse range of industries, including aerospace and defense, consumer products, healthcare and pharmaceuticals, industrials, technology, financial services and private equity. His recent matters prior to joining Kirkland include representing Wiz in its $32 billion acquisition by Google, Frontier Communications in its $20 billion acquisition by Verizon and Axalta in its pending $25 billion merger with AkzoNobel. He has also advised PepsiCo, AB InBev and The Walt Disney Company on a variety of matters.

Mike has repeatedly been named one of Best Lawyers’ Ones to Watch in America. His article, “Private Equity and Competition -- Comparing U.S. Agency Views to Recent Policy and Empirical Evidence,” won Best Business Article (General Economics) at Concurrences’ 2024 Antitrust Writing Awards. Mike was previously an adjunct professor at Fordham University School of Law, where he taught a class on cross-border mergers.
