Laura Stake is a partner in the Investment Funds Group in Kirkland’s Houston office. Laura represents sponsors in connection with structuring, forming and operating private investment funds, including energy funds, real estate funds, buyout funds, debt and credit funds, special purpose vehicles and other private investment vehicles. She has handled fund formation matters ranging from first-time funds to funds raising over $10 billion. Laura’s practice also focuses on advising fund sponsors on various firm management issues, including management company and general partner structuring, internal governance, personnel matters, extraordinary events, regulatory compliance and other investment management matters.
