Divya Suwasini is an associate in the Investment Funds Group in the New York office of Kirkland & Ellis LLP. Divya regularly represents top-tier and middle-market sponsors of multi-jurisdictional private funds, including, but not limited to, infrastructure, buyout, energy and credit opportunities funds. Her experience runs the gamut of the fund life cycle and includes counseling on the structuring, formation and marketing of funds to the operation, management and harvesting of funds in later stages. Divya has also represented sponsors and investors in secondary market sales of private fund interests’ on the buy-side as well as the sell-side. Divya’s representative clients from recent experience includes: Berkshire Partners, Blackstone Alternative Credit Advisors (fka GSO Capital Partners), The Carlyle Group, Clearlake Capital Group, iCapital Network, I Squared Capital, Littlejohn & Co., Macquarie, Neuberger Berman, Reverence Capital Partners, Soros Fund Management, Thomas H. Lee Partners. Prior to joining Kirkland, Divya was an associate in the Mumbai office of one of India’s most reputable law firms.
In addition, Divya has also represented private equity sponsors and their portfolio companies in complex cross-border mergers and acquisitions as well as leveraged buyouts.
